Color Palette Extractor & WCAG Contrast Checker

Extract harmonious color palettes from images, check contrast ratios, and copy CSS HEX and RGB codes.

What this tool does

Pick colors that already work together by pulling them from a photo or logo. The extractor reads the dominant tones of an image and lists them as HEX and RGB values, and the contrast checker tells you whether a text and background pair meets WCAG readability levels.

How to use it

  1. Upload an image from your device. It is processed in your browser only.
  2. Copy the HEX or RGB values of the colors you like.
  3. Test text and background pairs in the contrast checker and adjust until they pass.

Frequently asked questions

What contrast ratio should I aim for?

WCAG asks for at least 4.5 to 1 for normal text and 3 to 1 for large text.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. The analysis runs locally in your browser.
