A mailto link opens the visitor email app with the recipient, subject and message already filled in. This generator encodes spaces and special characters correctly and supports CC and BCC, which are easy to get wrong by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Why are spaces shown as percent signs?

URLs cannot contain raw spaces, so they are encoded as %20. Email apps decode them back.

Does it work on every device?

It needs a default email app. Desktop users without one may see nothing happen.
